The room we stayed in was updated and and very nice. Kid-friendly. Within 1 mile is a shopping plaza with a hardware store, liquor store, bank and supermarket. 3 different ice-cream shops were within 1 mile of the inn. Lots of seafood options. There is also a pizza place and pub-style place (British Beer Co.) but we did not eat at these places. We really came to eat seafood and did so everyday. A bait and tackle shop was only about 2 miles away, which I needed because I would take my kids fishing. The town beach costs $20 per day or $50 per week and has a natural lazy river so bring an appropriate float. There is another beach in Sagamore only 10 minutes away also. If you want to use a boogie board, just make sure that you don’t do it in front of any lifeguards - not allowed.
The local bakery made us a fantastic cake. I would come back for sure. I never use the drawers at hotels, but I opened one and it needed to be cleaned. Management here is great, timely and responsive. Washer and dryer are available (takes quarters only and costs $2.50 total). Breakfast was perfect for a family on the go like ours. I would go back for sure.
