This location is a GEM! Very clean. Large rooms. Lovely decorations in the rooms. Nice updates. Great breakfast spread. Very quite. Lovely cottage fee to the grounds. A short 30-45 min drive to several other cape towns and beaches. Very close to normal city like comforts (gas, major grocery stores, etc) I stayed for work and was very, very pleased and I typical stay at national chains - this was a big rival. I will stay again and would love to be back for even a vacation one day. Highly recommended!

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

This location was a true gem! A great spot if you want to be on Cape but also closer to regular every day life and conveniences. A 30-45 mins drive to most other Cape towns. Very clean and well decorated. Large rooms. Tasteful grounds. Very tasteful interiors. Great breakfast spread. Friendly staff. I was exceptionally happy with my visit. I come to the area about once a month for work and will certainly return. I would recommend it for vacation stay as well.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

No - everything was truly perfect! Very impressed.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

The hotel was clean and nicely maintained. The grounds were peaceful. Usually we stay at hotels with a pool to keep the kids busy. If the pool was in working order, it would have enhanced the hotel experience. Look forward to returning, and hope the pool will be open!

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

Wonderful breakfast! If you can afford to open the pool, that would be great.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

We were not impressed that the kitchen was not fully stocked. We only had one wine glass and when I asked for another one I was told that is the way it is because guests take them. Our microwave did not work. The price we paid was too high for a motel that doesn’t value service.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

I will not be staying again. But for future guests it would be beneficial to show that you care about their experience.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

I think the main reason I didn’t “love “ the hotel was the room ambiance. I am in the hotel renovation business and the room lacks “warmth”. Very stark and not inviting upon arrival. The rooms needs at least one little pop of color…it’s too WHITE! The TV cords look tacky hanging. And the TV picture is much smaller then the screen size…maybe it needs to be formatted? Only one side of bed has ports for charging…you should have splurged and done on both sides. When I checked in there were 2 rags left under the sink in our room…not good.

I didn’t like how food was presented in the morning. It should be more germ friendly somehow…maybe covered better?

There should be a sign when entering room with ice…I didn’t know I needed to step down and that could possibly be dangerous. I felt it in my back.

Your grounds are great…very well kept and pretty!

That is my constructive criticism :)

We loved our stay here! The room was very clean, nicely decorated, quiet and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Overall, the placement of the Inn and Suites was perfect—on historic Route 6A, near great ice cream, restaurants, attractions and easy access to places we wanted to go. I wouldn’t change anything, and would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great except for the room cleanliness. The floor was a little sticky in spots so I put my socks on so I wouldn’t have to feel it. Within a short time I found a fragment of candy stuck to my sock. Also, the electric kettle had not been emptied. I think the floor color and texture makes it hard to tell if it’s really clean or not. Otherwise everything was working correctly in the room.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

Our room was extremely dirty when we arrived. The linens were clean and the beds were freshly made… And we also found out your usual cleaning gal was not on that day. She came by the next day and vacuumed the floor and mopped and it was much better! Honestly, you have a beautiful place… The breakfast was amazing every day… Could have had a few more items that were grain/gluten-free but other than that it was delicious and very well set up. Getting back to the cleaning part… Honestly, all you really have to do is do a very thorough cleaning at the beginning of the summer/spring. Vacuum out the windows sills and wash the windows inside and out… Scrub the floors and thoroughly vacuum the corners and crevices of the rooms… For the price it was bad… It is noticeably grungy in there… I understand you are new owners and I hope that you will take the necessary steps to bring your place to the next level. Having been in the hospitality business my entire life… I kind of know what I’m talking about. Best of luck to you… And I hope things get better for your business.

ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK:

Floor in 21 was for dirty, my socks were black. We showed nanager and next day housekeeper tried and made it better, still dirty! Blackish color! Room had musty smell after rain. Tv experience was unacceptable; no TV guide. Front desk said some rooms had different remote that had t v guide but no offer to get us one. Worst was we had NO chair to sit outside our room. Every other room had 2 and a small table. We were told they had no more chairs! No one made any attempt to get ones from unbooked rooms . My husband got 2 from other units!!! WHAT????? 170. And then 222+ for weekends!! Also when I reserved this booking( 6 nights) I requested room 24.got an argument that made no sense.. called again on the day we were to arrive, late that day and asked again. I insisted they at least look to see if it was going to be avail- was told it was being vacated that day. She agreed to reserve it for us. Everything was good. When we checked in, manager said they gave it to someone else!! WHAT!!

We left after 2 nights and won’t be back, need new nanager with manners and people skills and trained staff. No in house communication. Everything that was below expectations was blamed on Coravirus!

Saw the complex was sold and I hope a new management will be hired!

OTHER SUGGESTIONS:

More flexible staff.

Allow guests to reserve a particular room if for week. No run around about we can’t assign room until that day! That’s crap!
